Wendy’s and MickyD’s Duke it Out

The Big Mac has indeed tried to take down the Double Deluxe; check out this intertesting story:

MANCHESTER, New Hampshire – A name like Ronald MacDonald might have raised suspicion from the start for a Wendy’s employee.

Now the 22-year-old MacDonald has been charged with stealing from a safe at the Wendy’s restaurant where he worked.

The man is no relation to the cheerful, red-haired clown who is the face of the McDonald’s advertising campaign.

The restaurant manager said he found MacDonald and another employee taking the money at about 1:30 a.m. Monday.

MacDonald and Steve Lemay, 20, were detained at the store until police arrived.

MacDonald is expected to face a probation violation charge along with theft charges.

Trying to Steal Christmas!

Controversy is brewing in Boston after a Christmas tree donated to the city was changed to a giant “Holiday tree.”

When the donators of the tree were informed of the city’s official name changed, they would have preferred to take it back.

The matter was brought to the attention of city officials by Dr. Jerry Falwell and the Liberty Counsel, a Christian legal group that had vowed to take legal action against the spreading of “misinformation” to city and government officials.

“My family donated a Christmas tree. If Boston wants to call it something else, maybe they should send it back,” said Donnie Hatt, according to the Chronicle Herald of Nova Scotia.

Boston should “just put Return to Sender on it because we sent it as a Christmas tree, not a holiday tree,” he said.

The controversy represents the concern which cities around the country have faced over the possibility of being sued when publicly-funded displays at the year’s end come under scrutiny over first amendment and church-state implications.

The government is attempting to throw Christmas into its big black hole of political correctness. Well… I’m not going to let it happen! (Hence “Merry Christmas” plastered across this design.)

On another note, my family and I picked up our 12′ tree yesterday.I love the smell of a fresh Christmas tree!

New Christmas Theme

Finally, after tedious testing in IE to get the CSS just right for that broken browser and such, (everyone please just go download Firefox) the new design is ready! The theme is entitled Where’s Santa based on the title of the image I used for this design. You’ll notice a lot of awesome plugins with this theme with more to come, be sure to check them all out. If you notice any bugs or display mishaps, please let me know by commenting here. Thanks a bunch!

>> Just added a bunch of Christmas tunes to the blog radio ;)

Now it’s All Worthwhile!

Bruce WillisBruce Willis is such a “die-hard patriot” that he’s offering $1,000,000 to any civilian who catches Osama bin Laden, Ayman al-Zawahiri or Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. He announced this today on a day-time talk show, Rita Cosby: Live and Direct.

Alright now, here’s a little rant: Honestly, is Bruce just looking for some publicity? Does he think these terror “kingpins” will be caught any quicker now? Notice the offer isn’t extended towards soldiers.. well that’s great. We’re going to have crazy people running out to the Middle East is it? I feel that Willis is just trying to point a sign of respect towards himself because he was so tooled over by that “teenager” Ashton Kutcher.

He also went on to say, “I am baffled to understand why the things that I saw happening in Iraq, really good things happening in Iraq, are not being reported on.” Well I can give you the answer to THAT one Mr. Willis. I thought you were a little smarter than that? It’s because our lovely mainstream media refuses to report on anything that would bring good light to our dear President.

Additionally, this little bit of info balances out my rant… “Willis also revealed he was in talks to make a movie about the Deuce Four, the soldiers whose heroic exploits have been chronicled by embedded blogger Michael Yon. ” This statement preceded his inquiry about the media coverage. As for a movie on something like this, about the good and successful things that happen in Iraq, I think it is great a big star wants to get out and spend some money on a thing like this. We need someone to oppose and balance out the already biased media and movies. GO BRUCE!

Just In Case…

Just in case you are ever abducted, look for the green glow of freedom:

Escaping man!

It’s like a get out of jail free card… I found this comment on the following website funny:

in addition to its cleverness and general utility, my favorite part is the set of non-verbal directions involved. Just in case you weren’t sure what to do when you pulled on the tab, the handy picture indicates for you to do a Family Circus style leap out and run! (I rented a focus and nearly stole the tag as a souvenier)
