How many times do you hear someone fighting over the events of Harry Potter? Well, this lovely bunch does (and they’re my friends.)
Know the answer? (No Google cheating!) P.S. They’re talking about Cedric Diggory.

The Carnival, based out of the U.K., has an extremely unique sound that you’ll be hard pressed to find anywhere else. The young song writer, Wendell, takes great pride in his music: “Music is a form of entertainment so you have to entertain. It’s an art so you have to be creative. Music will inspire, influence, and create a different feeling within each and every individual,” he says on the band’s myspace. The Carnival is consists of UK natives
Wendell Jones and Bek Williamson, “Wendell – Piano & Vocals, Bek – Drums & Bass.”
The couple works together to create a meld of many different and extremely unique sounds including the harpsichord, organ, piano, and Vibraphone. Although they haven’t received much publicity yet, one can easily tell that the young musician will make it far with this nouveau sound.
Besides from doing some really great covers (Hey There Delilah – Plain White T’s) Jones’ songwriting carries some great tunes. A two part set, The Murder of Miss De Wise” & The Murder of Miss De Wise Pt. II – A Tragic Symphony carries the tune of the usual lamentable love tale but on a unique melody.
Although the band hasn’t played any concerts as of yet, they have plans to make it big. Currently recording “bedroom demos” The Carnival plans to start “gigging” at the beginning of this year. “We also are going to record our first CD next year at various studios, and you will be able to buy it off our website round most places in the World; as we seem to be most popular in USA and Mexico. Our plan is to get signed as soon as we can, hopefully end of next year sometime, and then the label can then re-release our CD” stated Jones.
“The Carnival is going to be pushed to it’s limits! We want as many gigs as we can get our hands on, we are going to keep pushing forward, and go all the way until we get our dream of releasing a well-produced album and taking it on a world tour and performing it to thousands night after night signed to a respectable record label,” stated Jones concerning the band’s long term plans.
My personal favorite is “Vampires and Ghosts.” So go check out The Carnival… and tell all your friend’s you listen to “Nouveau Romantic Cabaret” and see what they say ;)

All around the world children are raking in heaps of presents and parents everywhere are attempting to put together complicated toys using instructions written in broken English.
Merry Christmas!
However, Christmas is also a time to be thankful for everything that we have. Please take a look over at The Kim Family Benefit Art + Craft Auction in memory of James Kim. Bidding starts on January 3rd through eBay. All proceeds will benefit the Kim Family (schooling costs for the girls etc…)

There are some very beautiful hand crafted pieces there, and I’m sure I’ll be bidding on a few of them.
Welcome! We are happy to announce an online auction of fine art + craft to benefit the family of James Kim. Over 40 different artists have contributed auction items in a wide range of media. You’ll find paintings, prints, ceramics, soft toys, jewelery, paper goods, home decor and more. 100% of the auction proceeds will go to the Kim Family Fund. Bidding will begin January 3rd and end January 7th. Please check back here for a preview of the auction items in the coming weeks.
We want to thank the contributing artists and the online art and craft community for this opportunity to help the Kims.
Our best,
Lisa Congdon, Stephanie Barnes, and Gerrie Congdon.

You know the kind of home made ornaments that you used to make in preschool that consisted of a tupperware top, glue, and macaroni combined with some pony beads? Well, here’s a little White Ninja to lighten your day and remind yourself of the good old days of crappy Christmas ornaments weighed down with too much Elmer’s glue (because it was just so much fun to glop around!) So I think it’s pretty clear that I’m obsessed with Christmas at this point haha! Just launched the new design here… adding on to my Christmas design festivities over at Blog What.
So… I’ve been slacking off terribly on my blogging duties! The entire college application process has taken up much of my time along with a BUNCH of projects over at BWD. Have no fear though! I’m going to try harder to get stuff up here! I even have a few half finished stories too ;) Plus a few minor changes and tweaks to this design.
There are some fun new additions to our blog radio:
Elvis: Blue Christmas
Let it Snow
Silver Bells
Little Drummer Boy
Chestnuts Roasting
Have A Holly Jolly Christmas
Frosty the Snowman (A Personal Favorite haha!)
Walking in a Winter Wonderland
Anyways. Here are some fun and funny holiday pictures… Keep reading this »
Please don’t mind the mess and errors as I switch over the new Christmas design. (Finally!)
Thanks!

Blender featured a story declaring the “The 50 Worst Artists in Music History.” Among the list were:
#47 GOO GOO DOLLS (”Mediocre band, woeful balladeers”)
#37 THE DOORS (”He was the Lizard King. No, really…”)
#36 98 DEGREES (”Well their mothers must love them”)
#23 CREED (”Whoever said the devil has all the best tunes was probably listening to Creed at the time”)
#15 YANNI (”Fabio meets Tesh!”)
#13 MICK JAGGER (”Even Bill Wyman laughs at Mick’s solo records”)
#11 LATOYA JACKSON (”The least talented Jackson”)
Some artists we ALL must agree were truly terrible included:
#8 VANILLA ICE (His real name is Robert Van Winkle *giggle giggle*)
The white boy to end all white boys
You know that yearbook photograph you won’t let anyone see? The one whose very existence keeps you awake shaking at night? Imagine it was a horribly dated number 1 single from 1990 called “Ice Ice Baby,” and you have an idea what life is like for Robert Van Winkle. It doesn’t stop there: Ice starred in the abysmal 1991 Hollywood vehicle Cool as Ice, and after squandering his quick fortune, mounted an unsuccessful comeback in 1998 as (shudder) a rap-rocker.
AND
#26 CÉLINE DION
One more reason to hate the French?
Seemingly hellbent from birth on proving that Michael Bolton isn’t the cheesiest balladeer on the face of the planet, the French-Canadian singer first secured a manager at age 12 — creepily, she later married him. But far more terrifying is her endless string of shrieking über-hits, particularly the Titanic theme, “My Heart Will Go On” — which, if it had been played on the ship itself, would surely have made passengers leap to their doom long before the iceberg did its dastardly deed.
I have to say I agree with most points. And if you were wondering “Insane Clown Posse” made the top of the list. “They sound even stupider than they look.”
Disagree? Maybe Blender just doesn’t understand the true classics… or maybe you just like really really bad music.
Hellooo! Terribly sorry the blogging has been lacking. It’s been a long week between college applications and the such! Anyways… here’s a bit of intrigue; it’s Mary Poppins as a horror film. Kinda creepy! Haha, here you go:
Oh, and Scary Pinocchio too!
